NDIS Providers
Anyone that provides a service to a person that has a NDIS Plan is known as an NDIS Provider (or they work for an NDIS Provider).
There is no need to be a ‘registered provider’ to deliver services (unless otherwise stated, as there are exceptions).
THE NDIS ACT
Compliance
Providers need to comply with certain rules under the NDIS Act 2013, which depend on circumstances.
For Staff:
- Qualifications or experience relevant to their field
- Completion of the Worker Orientation Modules
- Completion of the COVID-19 Training
- Compliance with the NDIS Code of Conduct that applies to all businesses and their staff
- They must have a complaints process/policy in place
For Businesses & Sole Traders (as per for staff plus):
- ABN as a minimum
- Public Liability Insurance
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Other insurances such as Commercial Vehicle Insurance (particularly for support workers transporting clients), etc
- Relevant accounting software (to ensure professionalism and ATO compliance)
The NDIS Act 2013 incorporates Consumer Law, ATO Law incl GST Act, Disability Act, Aged Care Act, Privacy Act, as well as others and reputable providers will have a good understanding of these laws.

SERVICE PROVIDER INFORMATION
We Understand
As the Plan Management Agency for your client, we are legislatively required to be a registered NDIS provider and ensure that the supports delivered comply with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, as well as any relevant Support Catalogue as part of the NDIS Provider Payment Assurance Program.
At 101 Plan Management we understand that cashflow and income is important to any business and therefore, for us to process invoices as efficiently as possible and to ensure a continuity of services for our participants we need to work together.
Invoicing Requirements
To ensure your invoices are processed as quickly as possibly, your invoice needs to include:
- Your ABN
- Your bank details (including your account name, number and BSB)
- Your client’s name and NDIS number (e.g. 43xxxxxxx)
- Brief description of the service provided or item number
- Invoice date and date of service
- Serviced hours and hourly rate
- Total amount due (indicating any GST included)

Sending Invoices for Payment
- Please only send invoices for one participant in one email. Please do not group different participants’ invoices in the same email or multiple invoices in the one file
- Send invoices in pdf format or you can use our online invoice tool.
- We usually process compliant invoices including making payment, within 3-5 business days.
- Occasionally payments may take a little longer. In this case, we’ll endeavour to resolve the issue quickly.
